Namaste!
I’m Vinay Sharma. I research about web, startups and technology. I am actively learning and building on the above space. So, why I am interacting with you ? Writing is my catharsis (letting out) and helps me to freshen my mind. I write things that I have strongly felt are needed to be put out in this world. If you want to see the world from a different perspective be it in career, life and technology. You are at the right place.
In today’s edition:

Principles of my Life
Well, everyone got some principles. It's just that either they are built for a very short term or are not followed with enough practice. I have envisioned my principles too, they might help you out to understand me better. If you are so sweet, follow them too.
Inventing by principle
A great talk by Bret Vector which I found out while going through Dan Abramov life, creator of Redux ( well I was interested how he figured it out to create Redux, the library every developer is talking about ).The crux of the talk is there needs to be some principle that guides you to create and envision something, which will help you to get out of the race. When you are learning/building a skill, you are just another man in a race, everyone is doing the same thing but at different speed. So learn, build and invent by principle to get out of the loop. I highly recommend listening to his talk. I used this while ideating on RAPSOS, an internet analytics operating system, the abstract principle being “to make software of the future”.
Visualization of thoughts
I want to do many things and brainstorming with myself using word-thinking was slow. I researched how it can be improved? Nikola Tesla, had this itch before. I found out that he used his imagination to carve out various machines and complex scenarios. He used “visual thinking” and did it with much perfection from his early age that sometimes he got confused between reality and his perceived imagined world. Truly, a brilliant hard-worker. I preach the same. To be ahead of someone, you need 2x speed be it in work, time or imagination. All this can be improvised using visual thinking. It requires a lot of practice but It’s worth doing.
Mini-principles
Life is made up of parts. Each part of the life can be optimized to give you maximum leverage, similarly the way an expensive car is built from top-notch quality parts to give maximum performance. Here’s what I do. I prefer using social media on weekdays, reading extensively, ideating and planning on white-board, priming myself with conducive environments that foster productivity, and doing deep-work etc.
Career in Links
